Sports massage aims to address imbalances in the soft tissue of sportspeople or anyone participating in regular physical activity. Strain or injury can result from repetitive movements associated with sports and sports massage can be done before or after exercise to help enhance performance, prevent injury or aid recovery from injury.

AUDREY ADEYEMI - BTEC HIGHER DIP. MTI
Audrey has been a therapist for over 15 years and offers holistic, sports & remedial massage and deep tissue massage. Her treatment style is tailored to the client needs but she generally focuses on the breakdown of adhesions within muscle tissue and administers 'muscle lengthening' techniques.
Clients experience a release in tension within problem areas. Audrey has worked on many clients with a range of musculo-skeletal dysfunction.
MAUD CIOFFI MCSP
Maud graduated in physiotherapy in 1998 in Paris.
She ran a clinic in Paris for 10 years where she developed a strong interest in women's health. As pelvic floor and abdominal retraining are highly promoted in France and grant aided by the French National Health System, Maud quickly gained good experience in treating pelvic floor disorders, bladder and back passage conditions and prolapses.
She has also completed postgraduate study to manage breast cancer related conditions including manual lymphatic drainage, shoulder exercises, and scar tissue work.
Maud had also extended her knowledge and skill in the treatment of pelvic pain, ante-natal musculo-skeletal conditions and diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles following childbirth).
Maud is a hands-on physiotherapist using both manual therapy and exercises in her treatment. Her approach is global and she does not believe in no pain, no gain.
In addition, Maud offers specialists chest physiotherapy for babies with bronchiolitis.

MARY FON SING MCSP
Mary graduated from University of Melbourne in 2011 and has recently moved to London from Melbourne to explore more of Europe. As a physiotherapist certified in Clinical Pilates and working at the Commonwealth Games 2018, Mary enjoys working with patients recovering from spinal problems and sports injuries.
Patients’ goals, especially returning back to work and sports, is one of Mary’s main focus when treating her patients.
Mary has a keen interest in sports injuries and spinal conditions.
Her physiotherapy management includes manual therapy, Pilates driven exercise rehabilitation, dry needling and taping. Mary also specialises in pelvic floor, abdominal muscle training, breathing awareness, postural and ergonomic education in her management.
In her spare time, Mary is an avid volleyball player and likes chasing waves to surf. Last but not least, she speaks French and can help out if you’re lost in translation!
Chifumi holds a level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy qualification. Since qualifying, she has worked alongside physiotherapists and chiropractors treating various conditions.
She has a special interest in treating chronic pain built up through work related repetitive movement, training or everyday activity and enjoys helping patients to relieve symptoms and live a pain free life.
Chifumi believes massage can be used as a complementary therapy to help alleviate symptom . She chooses individual tailored techniques such as deep tissue massage, muscle energy technique, soft tissue release and trigger point technique and her treatment is focused on the cause of symptoms and on resetting the balance between muscles to restore functional movements in the body.
She is a keen learner and has continuously taken CPD courses to develop her skills since she qualified.
ALEXANDER HOOPER M.OST LSSM DIP
Alex Hooper is a registered osteopath and sports massage therapist who has been at reCentre since 2012.
Alex worked as a fitness instructor while studying sport science and advanced exercise instruction before going on to study sports massage at The London School of Sports Massage.
He worked in a clinical setting providing massage therapy for over 6 years before deciding to become an osteopath, graduating with a Master's degree from The
British School of Osteopathy.
Alex has field experience working alongside physiotherapists at Tooting and Mitcham Football club and with the osteopath for Oxford University men's rowing team; he has also worked on set as an osteopath for film production companies, looking after the cast and crew members.
Alex provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment plans for a number of musculoskeletal based complaints, as well as providing sports and remedial massage for relief of general aches and pains. Clinically, his main interests are in clinical communication, pain and injuries related to physical activities.
Alex currently works at reCentre Wednesday to Saturday while completing a part-time Masters degree in Sport Rehabilitation at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
CORINNE LETIZIA MCSP
Corinne is originally from Australia and graduated from James Cook University in Townsville in 2013. She has experience working in both a hospital and musculoskeletal private practice setting which has helped her to understand the treatment required at all stages of rehabilitation.
Since completing her degree Corinne has become a qualified Women's Health Physiotherapist and has more recently had experience working within the NHS specifically treating women with continence issues.
Corinne also has a special interest in pre- and post-natal physiotherapy and was part of the team which pioneered an in-hospital post-natal Women's Health Physiotherapy service in the private hospital situated in her hometown.
Corinne has also completed an advanced DMA Clinical Pilates course and has experience teaching small group classes as well as completing one-on-one sessions which can be highly beneficial when creating a tailored programme specific to the level and injury of the individual.
Corinne also has experience with 'hands on' physiotherapy such as massage and in addition is trained in dry needling. She is interested in treating acute and chronic lower back pain as well as post-operative, orthopaedic and surgical rehabilitation. Corinne is very thorough in her assessments and strives to ensure she provides the highest level of client care.
VAGNER MIOLLA MCSP
Vagner is originally from Brazil and is currently in the UK to complete Postgraduate Study in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Brighton University. He graduated in 2007 with a BSc in Physiotherapy and has worked in both hospital and private settings as well as with footballers.
Vagner offers sports and remedial massage sessions as well as physiotherapy, having qualified as a massage therapist in 2003.
JAI MISTRY MCSP MACP MSC
Following graduation from the University of Nottingham, Jai has gained a vast amount of experience working in private practices, sport settings and NHS trusts across the UK. Jai has experience working for large London teaching hospitals including Kings college Hospital with experience in undergraduate lecturing.
Jai is currently a highly specialised team lead Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at St George's Hospital. He has recently completed a masters in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at King's College London which is an accredited masters by the MACP (Musculoskeletal Association for Chartered Physiotherapists).
Jai has a special interest in sports injuries and lower limb biomechanics, as well as pain neuroscience. He is currently working on a research paper investigating knee ligament (ACL's) exercise programmes which he intends to publish.
Jai also spent time in Cambodia training staff and patients in a amputee and paediatric clinic.
He adopts a holistic and contemporary evidence based practice when treating patients and works to achieve optimal function as soon as possible.
Jai aims to treats patients in a manner which promotes long term prevention of conditions, and strives to motivate patients to rehabilitate to their maximum potential.
PIOTR MIZEREK MCSP
Piotr gained an MSc in Physiotherapy in Poland and went on to do post-graduate study in soft tissue therapy. He worked in orthopaedic and physiotherapy clinics in his home country before coming to live in the UK.
Piotr is highly client focused and is passionate about health and wellbeing. He has a holistic approach to his therapy and believes that pain is a signpost that points to the root cause of a problem.
Piotr works with a combination of Structural Bodywork, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports or Relaxing Massage, Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Stretching, Muscle Energy Technique, Core Stability Exercises, EMM-Tech, Acupuncture and Home Exercises.
Piotr works as a Physiotherapist and Clinical Massage Therapist.
PETER SCHIMKE M.OST
Peter received his Master of Osteopathy degree from the British School of Osteopathy in 2011 and also holds a diploma in sports massage.
Peter believes healthcare should be about the whole person and therefore takes a holistic approach with clients. This accords with the fundamental approach of osteopathy which seeks to diagnose the cause of pain through analysis of a person's entire body and lifestyle, not just an isolated symptom.
Peter is a skilled structural osteopath who uses a variety of techniques which are tailored to each client's particular needs, including functional and visceral techniques.
Peter aims to empower clients through understanding the nature of their diagnosis and the anatomy involved to support them in self-managing their rehabilitation, because prevention is better than cure. Therefore, he provides each client with recommended exercises to reduce the likelihood of re-injury and to promote general well-being.
Peter is a registered Osteopath with most major insurers but is not able to treat you if you are claiming with BUPA.
Francesca Walsh is a very experienced and highly-qualified massage therapist who is well-liked by her clients. She is totally committed to continuing professional development in order to provide the most effective treatments for her clients and was recently awarded a Distinction in her BTEC Level 6 qualification in Advanced Clinical Massage and Sports Massage, this being the highest massage qualification in the UK.
Francesca's style of massage is a unique, creative and intuitive combination of various techniques from sports/deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, hot stones massage, aromatherapy and stretching. She tailors her massage to the individual requirements of each client - from a specific injury recovery treatment to the ultimate in deeply relaxing hot stones massage.
Vissen is a fully qualified and experienced Sports Massage Therapist who has worked extensively with professional sports teams, corporate clients and elite athletes. He has a practical and professional approach to treatments and uses a vast range of flexibility, mobilisation and deep-tissue techniques to allow him to effectively help clients overcome injury and improve performance.
Treatments include: Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage and Injury Management.
