Norah is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Life Coach and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and master NLP Practitioner specialising in Fertility through to Natural Birth. She is a Fertile Body Therapist and a member of the British Institute of Hypnotherapists.
Norah uses a combination of therapies to help eradicate the stress and anxiety around trying to conceive to help restore and rebalance your health, wellbeing and fertility. She works with couples who may be experiencing problems with fertility issues to help them on their road to parenthood. Norah will also support individual women who may be struggling with emotional blocks that may be getting in the way of fertility such as fears around birth, recurrent miscarriage, grief around baby loss and those who are going through IVF and assisted conceptions.
Norah shares some wisdom about EFT and fertility: "I first trained as an EFT practitioner in 2003 during which time many of my clients were experiencing fertility issues. I was lucky enough to train and work with EFT masters Emma Roberts and Sue Beer. My passion for EFT continues to gather strength daily as it can help to shift negative energy that may be held onto in your body, either conscious or unconsciously. I’ve seen for myself the relief on a clients face when they release something which they have been holding onto. I like to think of it as clearing debris from your pathway. The beauty of EFT is that I can teach you how to use it on yourself when you most need it which gives you a sense of being back in control, especially if you are struggling with fertility problems. Did you know that 25% of infertility remains medically undiagnosed - there is no certain physical cause. That in itself can cause stress and a whole myriad of emotions. If you're considering IVF or are already in a cycle, using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) as an additional tool can help you control your emotions and the stress that goes with your roller coaster fertility journey. Using EFT together with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) may help promote a more positive outlook which can only be a good thing for both of you.
How Does EFT Work?
We use light tapping of acupressure points on the body and the repetition of certain prescribed phrases to effect rapid emotional and behavioural changes and shifts in energy. We may start with a ‘specific trauma’ that can have impacts that reach deep into our subconscious, sometimes causing behaviours or fears many years later on. My job is to be an emotional detective to help release past trauma so that you can live in the here and now.
How can EFT help with Fertility?
When working with a client who has unexplained infertility, many issues can get in the way of them becoming pregnant so my aim is to help identify and resolve issues that may be preventing conception. Following are just some examples;
- Fears about pregnancy, birth & becoming parents
- Concerns about work vs family, finance
- Relationship issues
- Previous miscarriage, still birth or birth trauma
- Previous terminations
- Unresolved grief & trauma
- Perhaps your relationship to your own birth parents
Identifying and resolving these issues is a good place to start eradicating that stress that can affect conception. Follow up sessions will help you work through;
- Emotions such as anxiety, anger, depression, guilt & jealousy
- Re-connecting your mind and body
- Resolving relationship issues and increasing intimacy and affection
- Restoring self-esteem and self-worth and trust in one’s own body and building inner resources
- Working through unresolved grief and sometimes coming to terms with infertility
By using a combination of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), NLP and sometimes Hypnosis to help reduce stress and increase feelings of calm and relaxation to restore emotional wellbeing, Norah often gives 'homework' and shares self-help tools which may include and MP3 download/CD, EFT and affirmations to re-route old outmoded beliefs and negative self-talk.
Norah also supports women in protecting their mental health whilst nearing or going through the menopause in preparation for this important stage of womanhood.
Norah also trained as a Reproductive and Pregnancy Reflexologist as she likes to take a more hands-on approach and offers specialist support to clients who may have unexplained infertility, secondary infertility, low AMH results, PCOS, endometriosis, hormone imbalance or poor sperm results to enhance chances of conception whether trying to conceive naturally or with assisted conception.
‘……Following my miscarriage earlier in the year, I struggled to get my cycles back on track. Put it down to my body realigning or stress, I was willing to try any suggestions to fall pregnant again! Alongside following my cycle, I dabbled with acupuncturists and nutritionists. Neither of the aforementioned rung accord with me.
I do clearly remember my first session with Norah though. She was the one and only person who really acknowledged my circumstance and what I had been through as something I was, and indeed should be, sad about. I am fortunate to have an incredible support network of friends and family who rally to my side at the first sign of trouble or distress. However, I felt the predominant message was. - “it could be worse”.
Norah was very much a therapist AND reflexologist for me…..’ She has been such a huge part of my journey to motherhood and I will be eternally grateful.’

‘Norah was a ray of light that was so needed as my husband and I navigated our way through an incredibly tough fertility journey. We both always left the treatment room feeling calm and relaxed and I have no doubt her treatments helped us towards parenthood. She listened, she believed in us and she was there literally the day before I gave birth.’

‘I first went to see Norah on a close friend’s recommendation after I suffered a miscarriage in July 2017. Norah’s calm and relaxing demeanour together with the perfectly targeted reflexology treatments were without doubt one of the key factors in getting me through that experience. I continued seeing Norah while trying to conceive again a few months later, with the ultimate success of the birth of our perfectly healthy baby in September 2017. In early 2020 I started seeing Norah again for a combination of talk therapy and reflexology as I know she would be the perfect support as we started the journey in further expanding our family.’
