Private Medical Insurance
Physiotherapy Claims
We are registered with AXA PPP, Bupa and Bupa International. If your policy is with one of these providers and your treatment has been authorised, we will invoice your insurer directly for your physiotherapy treatment. Please ensure you book the correct appointment type and have let us know your policy and authorisation details prior to commencing treatment. We are unable to backdate claims.
We are also able to offer physiotherapy treatment for Aviva policy holders with our practitioner, Georgie Tacon. If your Aviva treatment has been authorised and booked with Georgie, we will invoice Aviva directly.
We are not able to offer physiotherapy treatment under Vitality policies.
For all other insurance providers, you will need to pay for your treatment at the end of each session. We will provide you with an invoice so you can reclaim the cost from your insurer, where pre-authorised.
Osteopathy Claims
We are registered with AXA PPP for osteopathy treatment. If your treatment has been authorised, we will invoice AXA PPP directly.
We are not able to offer osteopathy appointments to Bupa, Bupa International or Vitality policy holders.
For all other insurance providers, you will need to pay for your treatment at the end of each session. We will provide you with an invoice so you can reclaim the cost from your insurer, where pre-authorised.

Common Questions
What you need for your first appointment
For the first appointment of any claim, we will need:
- An up to date membership number
- An injury pre-authorisation code from your insurance provider. Please contact your insurance prior to your appointment so they can authorise treatment. We are unable to backdate any claims and you will be required to pay our full fees if we do not have your pre-authorisation code at the time of your appointment.
- Your excess amount
- The number of sessions or value that has been approved
- Any scans, reports or referral letters
Payable Fees
When invoices are returned to us as unpaid, this is usually because your insurance policy has assigned a certain amount of treatment to your excess amount or there are other policy limitations. In such circumstances, you will be liable for any outstanding fees and will need to pay us yourself. We will take credit card details at your first visit and store them in an encrypted format within our secure billing system. When fees become payable we will give you a minimum of seven days’ notice before charging your card.
If you do not agree with any of these charges, you will need to contact your insurance provider directly.
Some of the reasons why an insurer may not pay an invoice:
- Excess Fees: Most policies carry an excess which you will need to pay us directly. Your insurer will not cover the appointment fees until your excess has been paid, the excess is paid directly to reCentre Health.
- Unauthorised Treatments: If you have more treatment than your insurance provider has authorised, you will need to pay us for any unauthorised treatments.
- Relevant Authorisation: If you do not have the relevant authorisation from your insurer, GP or your employer, you may have to pay for treatment until this is resolved.
It is your responsibility to know the terms of your insurance cover. You are also responsible for keeping track of your sessions so you know when your cover has expired. As the patient, you are personally liable for any outstanding fees.
