Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound scan can help to both diagnose a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions of muscles, joints and tendons.
This specialist service involves a non-invasive and precise approach to assessment joint, muscle and tendon pain. We use state of the art imaging technology to scan the area and produce real time visualization of internal structures, such a ligaments, tendons and joints. This facilitates in giving an accurate diagnoses by detecting any pathology. All scans include a full diagnostic report and imaging.
Alongside Diagnostic Scans we provide Ultrasound Guided Injections to alleviate pain and improve recovery.
You do not need a prior medical referral for an appointment for an Ultrasound scan and you do not need to be in treatment at reCentre Health to book a scan. If you are in current treatment at reCentre, please discuss this option with your practitioner.

Our specialist will go through a full safety questionnaire prior to your appointment to discuss what is best for your individual condition prior to any scan.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Ultrasound Diagnostics and Ultrasound guided injection specialist
Chris is a Physiotherapist by profession and has spent many years in the NHS working within musculoskeletal, pain management, rheumatology and orthopaedic hospital departments.
Following the completion of his Sports & Exercise Medicine MSc in 2011, Chris has worked solely providing assessment, diagnostic imaging and musculoskeletal injections. Chris has further formal qualifications in medication prescribing (registered non-medical prescriber) as well as musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections.
His current NHS role involves rapid musculoskeletal assessment of patients within primary care and triaging to appropriate rehabilitation, imaging and injection or orthopaedic pathways.
At ReCentre Health Chris offers diagnostic ultrasound scans and ultrasound guided injections where required.
