Hypnotherapy FAQs
CAN ANYBODY BE HYPNOTISED?
Yes, anyone can be hypnotised as long as they want to be and have an ability to concentrate. You are in control and can allow yourself to go into hypnosis with the therapists’ guidance. It is not appropriate for people with certain mental disabilities.
HOW DOES HYPNOTHERAPY FEEL?
Most clients report a deep state of relaxation and peaceful sensations. Under Hypnotherapy, the body relaxes together with the mind causing a state of peace and well-being. Many clients say that hypnosis feels like going to bed after a long day.
IS IT SAFE AND AM I IN CONTROL?
Clients often hear and remember what is said in the session. During Hypnosis you are Awake and Aware and have Control of everything you say and do. It is a safe and natural state which you can choose to enter, or come out of, at any time you wish.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
On average Wissam sees people 3-5 times on a particular issue, but sometimes more or less sessions are required. Hypnotherapy is an effective therapy and it also depends on your motivation and desire to change.
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO SEE THE HYPNOTHERAPIST?
This depends on the type of issue and on the progress made. Your hypnotherapist will usually see you once a week. However, some clients will see a hypnotherapist once a fortnight or even once a month depending on their circumstances.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Sessions can last from 1 hour to 2.5 hours depending on the issue and therapeutic technique used.

Our Hypnotherapists
NORAH BRASINGTON CNHC BIH
Norah is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Life Coach, EFT and master NLP Practitioner specialising in Fertility through to Natural Birth. She is a Fertile Body Therapist and a member of the British Institute of Hypnotherapists.
These approaches combine together nicely to give you extra tools to help cope when going through stressful times. The journey to parenthood can be difficult for many so using a combination of these therapies can help you overcome fears and anxieties, particularly when trying to conceive. Whether you’re trying naturally or going through a medicated cycle, hypnotherapy may help enhance your chances by rebalancing your health, wellbeing and fertility. It can also help to prepare you for birth.
Norah works with couples who may be experiencing problems with fertility issues to help them on their road to parenthood. She also supports individual women who may be struggling with emotional blocks that may be getting in the way of fertility such as fears around birth, recurrent miscarriage, grief around baby loss and those who are going through IVF and assisted conceptions.
Norah also trained as a Reproductive and Pregnancy Reflexologist as she likes to take a more hands-on approach and offers specialist support to clients who may have unexplained infertility, secondary infertility, low AMH results, PCOS, endometriosis, hormone imbalance or poor sperm results to enhance chances of conception whether trying to conceive naturally or with assisted conception.
‘Norah was a ray of light that was so needed as my husband and I navigated our way through an incredibly tough fertility journey. We both always left the treatment room feeling calm and relaxed and I have no doubt her treatments helped us towards parenthood. She listened, she believed in us and she was there literally the day before I gave birth.’

‘I first went to see Norah on a close friend’s recommendation after I suffered a miscarriage in July 2017. Norah’s calm and relaxing demeanour together with the perfectly targeted reflexology treatments were without doubt one of the key factors in getting me through that experience. I continued seeing Norah while trying to conceive again a few months later, with the ultimate success of the birth of our perfectly healthy baby in September 2017. In early 2020 I started seeing Norah again for a combination of talk therapy and reflexology as I know she would be the perfect support as we started the journey in further expanding our family.’

Norah also supports women in protecting their mental health whilst nearing or going through the menopause in preparation for this important stage of womanhood.

SARAH MINNS
Sarah Minns is a fully qualified and insured hypnotherapist. Through video conferencing technology Sarah has built a hypnotherapy practice that can accommodate clients in any time zone, whilst in the comfort of their own home. She also sees clients in person.
Her interest in hypnotherapy began in 2001 when she was training to become an opera singer. She discovered that hypnotherapy can be used as a useful tool to calm nerves, performance anxiety, and to focus the mind. After successfully implementing and frequently returning to trusted techniques that she had learnt during this time, Sarah gained her hypnotherapy diploma so that she could share this incredible therapy with other people.
Sarah specialises in working with clients on problems relating to confidence and anxiety. She is experienced in dealing with fears, phobias, relationships, love, weight loss, stopping smoking, dealing with sleep disorders, addiction, general relaxation and guided meditation.
Thanks to her strong background in the arts, Sarah has frequently worked with international musicians, actors, and conductors on a variety of issues, but her practice is wide reaching. What is exciting is that hypnotherapy can be a real benefit to all (even children).
If you are new to Hypnotherapy is not as intimidating as it might sound. It is a deeply restorative and healing therapy, using guided relaxation to focus the attention of the mind. In this relaxed state the hypnotherapist can work with the subconscious mind and suggestions can be made to bring about positive changes to help you to move forward towards your desired goals.
